Suggested itinerary: . In the afternoon, you will discover this ancient Greek colony, part of our worldwide heritage and a UNESCO site. The archaeological area dates back to the 5th century BC, with the Greek theatre, the Roman amphitheatre, the altar of Ierone II and the Latomies of Paradise.

Then we head to the historical centre of the island of Ortigia, the temple of Apollo and the Duomo, a historically important baroque church founded on an ancient temple and the Aretusa fountain.

Time-permitting, we recommend that you continue to Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque, also known as the Garden of Stones. You can admire the beauty of the churches, the convent of Santa Chiara and the cathedral destroyed by the earthquakes and then magnificently reconstructed.

The cities of Ragusa and Modica were destroyed by a terrible earthquake in 1693, you have to be aware that this earthquake radically changed the typography of Sicily because all the cities were rebuilt based on the design ideas of the late baroque era.

Visit to Ragusa Ibla, one of the most influential cities in Italy for art thanks to its artistic and archaeological wealth.

You'll then continue the journey towards Modica; the city is famous for its churches and its cathedral but it is also the Italian capital of chocolate!

Suggested itinerary: why not go up to Taormina! The city is a real gem with an incredible view of the sea and Mount Etna...

Breakfast, then discover the highest active volcano in Europe (3345 metres).

Suggested itinerary: an action-packed day dedicated to discovering Mount Etna; you can get all the way up to 1800 metres at the Sapienza refuge where the "crateri silvestri" craters are then visible. The plant life here is incredible as well as the splendid lunar landscapes all along the way. For centuries the volcano has created a unique location where nature, culture and history create a harmonious whole. Option of going up with the cable car or by 4X4 bus to the height of 2800 metres.

Breakfast, then set off for Palermo.

On the way back, stop in the enchanting village of Cefalù.

Suggested itinerary: you can start your day with a visit to the magnificent cathedral before continuing with the Royal Palace or "Palace of the Normans", built by the Arabs in the 10th century and extended by the Normans and the Spaniards, where you can visit the Palatine Chapel.

Free period for lunch before heading to Monreale to visit the cathedral and the magnificent cloister, a masterpiece of Byzantine and Arab-Norman art.

You will then drive to Monte Pellegrino to discover the sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of Palermo. You will end the day with Mondello where you can stroll and sample an authentic Sicilian ice cream.

After breakfast, enjoy a little more time to walk around the city before heading to Palermo airport to drop off the vehicle and take your flight home.

This package includes the rental of a category B car. Please contact us to inform us of the main driver's first/last name. Upgrade to more spacious category D vehicle for 4-5 people.

After confirming your booking, please provide us with the main driver's full name. Any change or modification in the name of the main driver after confirmation will incur an administration fee (please read all the information concerning car rental).

The rental car will be collected from Palermo airport and returned to Palermo airport**.

**The vehicle must be returned at the same time as pick-up. Any delay after 29 minutes will result in an additional day's charge, in line with the official local rate applied by the hire company, payable on site.

- Airport charges, CDW, THW, One Way included in Sicily, TAX, LAF and VAT;

Very important:
Car hire rates are calculated in 24-hour increments. Therefore, if the car will be returned after the pick-up time, an additional day of rental must be calculated and added to the rate, for which the rental company will charge the additional day's official price directly on the spot: the vehicle must be returned at the same time as the pick-up time.**

The driver must be between 25 and 70 years of age and hold a driving licence that is at least one year old. Drivers over 70 must pay a supplement of €40.
The car must be returned with a full tank of fuel. A credit card deposit (blocked but not charged, and signed) will be required upon handover of the car by the hire company.
The customer is required to provide a bank card with the main driver's name on it as a guarantee. Debit cards or AMEX cards will not be accepted.
**At the counter, you will be asked for: credit card in your name and driving licence that has been held for at least 1 year. Your driver's licence must be valid **.

Please let us know: the driver's name, age (minimum 25 years old), flight number, arrival time, car pick-up/drop-off location.

We cannot accept any responsibility for the purchase of additional insurance from the car hire company on site.

• The hire company reserves the right to reject a driver for reasons concerning safety, legality, or due to local requirements. The final decision on whether or not to accept the main driver's licence is at the sole discretion of the car hire company.
