Pleasant and Friendly

Small, pleasant hotel in good location. Excellent, courteous service. Shower/toilet room separate from sink - a little cramped, but works well. -Roberta, from Mesilla, United States - 11/17/2009

Meeting Expectations

The hotel staff was friendly and a lot of help in finding our way around and with restaurant suggestions. The food at the Fire Fly was very good as well. Our room was
clean and comfortable. Thanks. Dave -David Trout, from Bridgeton , United States - 2/27/2009
Ideal DC Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The Madera stands our for several reasons: 1) It's hip Dupont Circle location, a short block and a half from the Metro; 2) The size and comfort of its rooms -- a little Kimpton-Euro-Kitchy, but still spacious and well appointed, with a great bed; 3) The notable friendliness of its staff; and 4.) The extremely good value. Why stay anywhere else? -Drury Sherrod , from Pasadena, United States - 2/12/2009
A Great Getaway in a Quiet Neighborhood

Madera has exceeded my expectations; it is an excellent hotel with staff who are very friendly. The hotel also provides coffee, tea in the morning; milk and cookies at night; wine tasting at around 5-6pm. The room is very spacious. A room with 2 queen-size beds, balcony overlooking the neighborhood is actually big enough for 5. -Yue, from Singapore , Singapore - 12/29/2008
