Overview
Tucson's original resort sits high in the Santa Catalina Foothills overlooking the city. Set on 80 acres of Sonoran desert, Westward Look resorts offers on-site horseback riding, tennis, swimming, hiking trails and a full service spa with desert inspired treatments.
Recently unveiled at Westward Look Resort, Gold -- a new and contemporary culinary adventure -- blends fresh and innovative contemporary American cuisine with a touch of desert-inspired flavor.
The Lookout Bar & Grille is the resort's more casual dining choice with a lighter menu, easygoing atmosphere and stunning views. The cuisine features comfort food with a contemporary twist. Guests can enjoy specialty drinks, an array of tequilas and the option of dining indoors or on the terrace.
The resort offers 241 suite-sized accommodations, each with a private balcony or patio and spectacular views. The decor is a casually elegant blend of the Spanish Colonial, Mexican and Native American influences that are part of this area's rich cultural history. The resort grew around a 1912 homestead estate built just six months after Arizona became a state.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Westward Look. The staff were very friendly and did whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable. I would stay there again! -Julie Queen , from El Cerrito, United States - 10/20/2009
Great Place!

My husband and I stayed here a couple days before moving to the Marriott Starr Pass Resort for a business conference, and we loved the Westward Look. The staff was friendly, the room was large and very nicely decorated, and the bed was super comfy. We ate breakfast twice at the "Gold" restaurant in the hotel, and the food was amazing. (We are from Louisiana, so we're used to eating good food.) We recommend the "Huevos Rancheros" and the "Steak and Eggs". Again, both were awesome. There was also a lot to do around the resort, including a few nature trails and horseback riding right on the property. The only complaint was that the room was a little loud. We were on the first floor, so we could hear people walking around above us. It wasn't horrible, but I'd recommend requesting a 2nd floor room. -Rachel, from Baton Rouge, United States - 10/9/2009

We had a wonderful time at the Westward look. The room was beautifully appointed. The grounds were lovely... loved the hummingbird and Chef's garden and all the variety of labeled specimen plants throughout the property. The setting was beautiful. The wait staff in the Gold Room and B&G were very friendly and helpful. The menu selections and food preparation were great. Breakfast was really enjoyed each day. We would really like to return again someday. -Iris and Richard Peacosh , from Surrey, Canada - 4/2/2009
Lovely Room and Setting

Request a renovated room that opens onto the trail or open space. Our room was perfectly finished but had a bad view. It was Okay because we only stayed one night. We had a fantastic dinner in the Gold Room. Overall, a recommended property. -Glenda, from Greenwood Village, United States - 11/1/2008
The Perfect Place for Down Time on a Vacation. No
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The room was newly renovated and was spacious. It was very clean and enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine. The pool we used was quiet and not crowded. They are still renovating rooms and resurfacing one of their three pools. Since were were out most of the days hiking, we weren't bothered by the construction noise. Didn't eat any of our meals there so can't comment on that. The location is close to many good restaurants and a fabulous gelato place. If we vacation in the Tuscon area again, will select Westward Look resort. It was perfect for us. -Sharon Frank , from Grantham, United States - 9/24/2008
Attending Graduation

This is our third visit and we could only stay for one night. It will be nice To visit when the renovations are complete. It is a very tranquil facility and works well for my friend who attended the Integrative Medicine fellowship program (University of Arizona). The food is excellent but a little pricey. I have had two excellent massages there as well. -Anne, from Prescott Valley, United States - 6/19/2008
Had a Great Time.

This visit was very nice. Lots of relaxing by the pool and in the jacuzzi in our room. Room service was wonderful. I must admit I didn't take advantage of anything other than the pool and room service. My stay was to rest and that is what I did. -Jennifer Troy , from Oro Valley, United States - 10/29/2007
