Pleasant Surprise

Having chosen this hotel through the internet and not having any personal recommendations, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The location, the amenities, the view of the lake from our room, the cordial and extremely helpful staff were all unexpected surprises that were especially appreciated. We will recommend this to everyone we know who is visiting Chicago as "THE" place to stay. -Susan Yeates , from Sacramento, United States - 10/21/2009

My wife and I had a beautiful corner king room with lovely views of the city. Mark the concierge was very knowledgeable about everything and the rest of the staff were always upbeat and helpful. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The location was perfect...What more can I say? -Frank, from paradise valley, United States - 10/20/2009

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a great location, in the beautiful Gold Coast area. We had breakfast at a great little place right across the street from the front entrance. We were also pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade to a mini suite that had a beautiful view of the city. -Laurie, from western springs, United States - 5/6/2009

Would Stay Here Again

Everything was as promised. We received a room upgrade to a corner room with a lake view. We checked in early. Parking was included and there was a small amenities package. Breakfast buffet, cereal bagels fruit and yogurt was also included.
The concierge was very helpful in locating a restaurant for my husband's birthday dinner within 2 blocks, and made the reservation for us. It was delightful.
We would definitely stay here again. -Mary, from Dallas, United States - 1/5/2009

Fabulous location surrounded by wonderful Restaurants & Cafes with outdoor seating areas. It is also within walking distance to Oak street shopping and Michigan Avenue. Can't say too much about the location. The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure that you were pleased with your stay. The room was roomy and clean and bed, comfortable. When we checked in, they did not offer the "Perfect Escapes" package which was supposed to include weekday breakfast, upgrade or amenity gift in room. I called them from my room and asked them why and they didn't seem to know they were supposed to do anything and asked for a copy of my reservation. To make up for it they gave us free internet and continental breakfast - room service Vouchers for Fri, Sat & Sun. Parking was $42 a night. -Veronique Mcmillan , from Tonka Bay, United States - 7/18/2008

The Sutton Place is a wonderful boutique hotel infused with European sensibilities. Next to Finland, Chicago is my very favorite place to visit and conduct business.

We were in Chicago for a wedding. The valet service and the gentlemen were wonderful. Our only complaint would be the cost of overnight parking, which was very expensive at $42.00 a night. The service to our room and the room itself were great. We would stay there again and we would recommend it to others. -Katherine Zibbel , from Toledo, United States - 1/26/2008
Great Hotel for the Price
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Everything at the hotel met or exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the location was right in the heart of all the action in downtown Chicago. It was walking distance to all of the shops on Michigan Ave. and all of the restaurants and night clubs on Rush Street.
We would stay here again.

Best Hotel We Ever Stayed At

As soon as we got there we were greeted and taken care of. No waiting, no issues no problems. We checked in in 2 minutes, got to our room and were very impressed with the decor, cleanliness and classiness of it all. We got a great room with a great city view. Everything was like promised, no surprises. The staff was all very helpful and everything very elegant, you can tell right when you walk in that you are at a luxury hotel. We checked out in 2 min, meanwhile our car was brought out and waiting for us. The most perfect experience at a hotel, ever. Would absolutely go back and recommend it to any one looking for a great hotel to stay at. -Ana, from Des Plaines, United States - 11/26/2007
