Overview
The captivating Hotel Allegro Chicago was designed by the award winning designer Cheryl Rowle. This historic hotel was built in the 1920s with an art deco interior design and Ms. Rowley transformed the hotel into a 90s version of what's hip and lively today. The Allegro stimulates the senses with a vibrant range of colors/rich textured fabrics/bold patterns and a contrasting blend of classic and contemporary designs. Four hundred and eighty-three tastefully appointed rooms and suites decorated with vibrant warm colors. Honor bar/iron and ironing board/hair dryers in each room. On demand movies/concierge services/same day laundry valet services/gift shop/hair salon and shoe shine. Twenty four hour parking/full service restaurant and room service. On site fitness center and in room CD boom boxes/in room fax/2 line speaker phones. Great Stay for Business

I loved my corner room. Great use of a small space. I never felt cramped. Staff was wonderful, helpful and accommodating.

Fantastic Place

This hotel was amazing. The people that work there are awesome and will provide you with any information you ask for at the front desk. They had a free wine hour every night while we were there, no limit on how many glasses. Even when we were in the elevator a housekeeper told us to enjoy our stay and have a great day. I would recommend this trendy, cute "boutiquey" hotel to anyone. One complaint (if it even counts as a complaint) was how long we would have to wait for the elevator, sometimes up to 10 minutes. Other than that, there was nothing wrong with the place. The room was big enough to accommodate 2 adults without problems and the beds were very comfortable. I am going to even call the manager soon and inform them about how great out stay was. We will not stay anywhere else in Chicago besides this hotel, or at least a Kimpton hotel. This is in the theater district with a lot of nightlife stuff to do within walking distance, also close to the South Shore train and Red line.

We were very pleased with the Hotel Allegro. The service was very good and the evening wine reception was a nice touch. The location was very convenient to many of the places we visited while in Chicago. The rooms, while a bit small, were very tastefully decorated, new, and in good working order. The rate we received from Perfect Escapes was very competitive. We plan on staying there again and will use Perfect Escapes again.

Older building that has been tastefully refurbished. Highlight of the hotel is the staff - most helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and "at home."

Despite a computer outage at check-in time and subsequent wait for room assignment, we enjoyed our stay at this nice hotel in the center of Chicago's theatre district. Staff were remarkably friendly!

This was my second stay. Rooms are small but unique. Wine reception, hotel staff are above average. I love this hotel. Room service food is excellent and well presented. Bed is comfortable. This hotel will make you want to come back and stay again.
