Needs Security

When I first got to the hotel, it was nice, I checked in and they upgraded my room from a studio to a suite with no extra charge. Room was wonderful. View was good, but I really hoped to have a better experience because we went on a 4 hour trip and my girlfriend and I went to eat and there was a homeless guy in the casino asking for money. He smelled terrible and he decided to sit next to me and my girl when we were eating. We had to leave, I couldn't stand that terrible smell and yet he asked for some food and I was just going to take it upstairs to eat in peace but he was so insistent that when I got up I dropped my sandwich on the floor! I was mad. So I gave him the only peace that didn't touch the floor. On the way to the room there was a fight with 3 drunken people and no security to stop it! I was hoping someone would come and stop it but the security was just looking at them and DID NOTHING! I don't know if I'll ever go back. -Douglas Gonzalez, from california, United States - 2/2/2010
Needs Some Polishing

The property overall looked nice, but some of the amenities (i.e. HD projector and surround sound) were not available yet. The room was missing hangers for the closets, towels for one of the bathrooms. And trying to reach the front desk via the telephone was impossible. I sent a long email to the VP of hotel operations about a week ago and am still waiting for even an acknowledgment that she received it. There were many small things that need to be addressed. I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and I found out that my party was the 2nd guests to stay there. They've only been open for a month, and I hope that things will improve to the level of expectation for a luxury or upscale property. -Brandye, from Los Angeles, United States - 2/1/2010
Worse Hotel Experience in Vegas Ever!
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This is the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered in Vegas. We booked a room in the newly opened Planet Hollywood Towers because we had never stayed here and they were offering a somewhat discounted "Special Grand Opening" rate of $140. $50 off the usual price of a standard room. Upon arrival we found a huge line waiting to check in. There was a concierge desk off to the side that said PH Towers and another line next to that with a sign that said "check in for PH Towers" so while my partner waited in line, I headed over there to ask if that was where we checked in. The man at the concierge desk that read PH Towers said he wasn't quite sure where check in for PH Towers was and to stand in line and ask the woman at the desk. We did only to be told that it was upstairs, through the mall and roughly about 1/4 mile away. They gave us a map and pointed us in the direction we needed to head. Only about 1/2 hour to 45min wasted in the wrong check in line. We finally made it. -K, from Portland, OR, United States - 1/20/2010

Hotel room was nice however TV's did not receive more than half the channels and one didn't work at all. Surround sound and projection TV didn't work either. Service was good and location is fantastic. -Ronnie, from Bakersfield, United States - 1/14/2010
