Looking Forward to Returning to Encantado

We experienced our first stay at Encantado recently and are already making plans to return. Because the weather was very cold and included two snowfalls, we almost had the resort to ourselves. But, service was wonderful and every request was met immediately. We had delicious dinners two nights at Terra and the resort's transportation service via Mercedes SUV was available to take us to our dinner reservations in Santa Fe. Even if you must stay in Santa Fe, please do make a trip to Encantado's Spa. It is a real treat. We are looking forward to our return in the Spring to Encantado. -Jerry Brown , from Chappell Hill, United States - 3/1/2010

This resort is great. Facilities are beautiful, spa is lovely, and the service from everyone we encountered was second to none. These people really know how to do their jobs. It's all about the guest. Can't wait to go back! -Bill Ottinger , from Houston, United States - 2/25/2010

We had a fantastic time in our casita. Furnished beautifully. The staff throughout the resort were attentive without being smothering. The on-site restaurant is excellent for all meals and the staff really do go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. Highly recommended. -Brian, from Aurora, United States - 1/25/2010

Encantado will not remain a secret for long. The staff at this property are just top-notch. Our dinner at Terra was unmatched by any of the other restaurants we visited during our stay. Being able to borrow a Benz for a trip to Taos was an incredible plus. A number of travelers on TripAdvisor complained about the resort design and the fireplaces in the rooms--it's true that the rooms look over the parking area, but you also have fantastic views of the mountains from all over the resort, including the rooms. You can either focus on the parking lot or look at the mountains; I chose the mountains. We lit a fire twice a day in our room and never had any issues with smoke. The resort has Four Seasons level service, but with the personal touch that comes from staying at a smaller resort. -Kathleen, from Houston, United States - 1/25/2010
Want the Royal Treatment? Then Stay At The Encanta

We are just a middle class, middle-aged couple from Ohio, but the staff at the Encantado made us feel like VIP's from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed. All staff members seemed to be genuinely happy to have us as guests and treated us like we were special. Great customer service and going beyond what is expected seems to be the norm at the Encantado. The food and service at the restaurant (Terra) was fabulous and our room was not lacking anything. We especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floor, the great shower, the extra deep soaking tub, the kiva, and mountain views from the balcony. We are definitely looking forward to experiencing another stay at the Encantado. -Richard, from Cincinnati, United States - 1/9/2010

Romantic Weekend

My Husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the Encantado Resort. We reserved a Vista Casita, and were thrilled when we arrived to learn we had been upgraded (a Perfect Escapes perk) to a beautiful suite. We also received complimentary breakfast each morning, which was delicious...another Perfect Escapes amenity. We were given the VIP treatment during our entire stay, it was wonderful! When we travel, we prefer luxury hotels, and have high expectations of the resort and staff, and the Encantado did not disappoint. After a day spent sightseeing, it was nice to lounge on our private patio at sunset, with a glass of wine by the fire. We didn't want to leave! At first I was a little disappointed when I saw that our patio overlooked a small parking lot which was "screened" by a natural wood fence. However the view past the lot was beautiful. Once you sat down by the fire, you only noticed the vista view, not the parking lot. I believe there are casitas with a different view -Kurt Seidler , from Plano, United States - 10/16/2009
Best Hotel Ever -- Impeccable Service

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in and it was the best in terms of honoring the Perfect Escapes included benefits - breakfast and check-in times. We did not have to remind them of our free breakfast and the breakfast was fantastic. We ordered everything we wanted and did not have to pay an extra cent. They provided a tour of the property and helped us lug a large amount of luggage into our room, which was large, beautiful and felt more like a suite than a room with a wonderful balcony and indoor fireplace. The shower and tub were over-sized and wonderful. A special bonus was that the pool and hot tub are salt-water, so no chlorine. We received a wonderful deal -- about $270/night including breakfast. I would gladly go there again. They had a travel adviser who helped us plan our trip to downtown Santa Fe and a shuttle service in new Mercedes Benz SUV's. The stay was simply fantastic and the food was delicious. -Jennifer, from Chicago, United States - 8/27/2009
