Overview
As its name implies, Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, is a window to Paradise. A Ty Warner Property and one of the most acclaimed resorts ever, Las Ventanas has redefined luxury and pampering, reaching out with special touches that are the hallmark of refined hospitality. The desert resort captivates its guests with expansive suites, a world-class spa, inspired cuisine and an intoxicating ambiance.
The resort's beautiful dining room is aptly named "The Restaurant." Every table features a fabulous view of the sun-soaked pool area and Sea of Cortez . The Baja-Mediterranean inspired decor features a meandering, hand-painted wall mural that captures the essence of the local area.
At the end of the day share the warmth of a seaside fire, and be lulled to rest by the rhythm of gently washing waves. Or, turn your personal telescope toward the heavens to gaze at the shimmering stars.

Pros: Beautiful location, excellent service, room was lovely and setting magnificent. The level of service is truly top class and the attention to detail superb. As this is smaller than comparable properties, it feels much more romantic and intimate and much more exclusive. The suites facing the sea (205 etc.) are wonderful rooms.
Cons: The main (and almost only) criticism is the price of the two main restaurants, the Sea Grill and "The Restaurant". Both are extraordinarily expensive for what they provide (which is, in short, good but not stellar food). The cost of a hamburger in the Sea Grill came to the equivalent in Mexican pesos of $50 for example which is unjustifiable. To sum up, you are forced to pay prices higher than you would pay in Michelin starred restaurants in San Fran, NY or London for food which is good, but not particularly impressive. The cost is higher than anywhere else on the corridor. This grates and detracts from what is, otherwise, great.
