What a beautiful hotel with a spectacular view and so close to everything we wanted to see. -Karen, from Cedar Rapids, United States - 8/26/2009

We were delighted to learn that we had been upgraded to a lake view room! The setting of the Chateau is absolutely gorgeous, and it shares its location with no other hotels. It is truly a first-class hotel. The only possible negative might be that the room was not air conditioned and was a bit hot. -Barbara Reilly , from Golden, United States - 8/13/2009

I Was Very Impressed
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We stayed at the hotel expecting it to be all that it was. The room was beautiful, clean and welcoming. We had plenty of room and enjoyed all that was provided. The pool and sauna were well maintained and enjoyed. The hotel itself and the view were beautiful. This is an incredible place. -Ann Durgan , from Denver, United States - 7/1/2009
Fairmont Lake Louise

Our stay at the Fairmont was a life time experience we will never forget.
From the moment we were welcomed by the valets everything was perfect. Our room wasn't huge, but big enough, plush furnishings, lovely welcoming platter.
The check-in was very efficient.
We had a Lake View room which was just breathtaking, the view from the window is unbelievable.
We had cocktails in the Lakeview Lounge, the service wasn't great but our waiter was occupied with an overly demanding customer so unfortunately we got ignored.
Later we had pre-dinner drinks in Tom Wilson Steakhouse, the young barman there was great and his Glacier cocktail was a work of art.
We had dinner at the Fairview Room, again perfect.
I purchased a package from Perfect Escapes and it was worth every penny, it included early check-in late check-out, which was great because we could spend the day walking around the lake. Unfortunately the canoe hire didn't open so did not get to paddle the lake. -Jeanette, from Perth, Australia - 9/29/2008
Disappointed

Room did not match description represented in the reservation in terms of view. Unbelievably small bathroom. So much so that it detracted significantly from the overall experience. Room was very hot (even though cold outside). Turning the heat in the room completely off did little to improve the situation. Very disappointed in the fitness facilities.
However, it is the best hotel in the immediate area. So, if you want a nice hotel in this area, there is no other choice. -Diane Letteller , from Frisco, United States - 8/5/2008
Lake Louise Gold Package

The room was nothing more than a over-sized Hampton Inn. I have stayed in 4-star resorts all over the world that are nicer than the Fairmont at lake Louise. Had it not been for the view or the location I would have left without staying the night. The staff was very friendly but the service in the restaurant was spotty. I will not be returning to stay at this hotel again, next time it will be at the Banff Springs. The food was OK, not like what I expected. A $1000 a night is way too much, should be close to $400-450 at the most. It is very easy to see that the property is beginning to get rather run down. -Philip, from Mooresville, United States - 7/26/2008

Great hotel, beautiful. Paying for location really. Don't eat in the Glacier Saloon, food very hit and miss! Mainly miss. Staff superb! -Susan Edwards , from RUGELEY, England - 7/5/2008
